‘There’s a bluebird in my heart’, wrote Bukowski a few years back, holding a glass of whisky with no ice in his left hand. Everyone has their own way of stepping back in time. For Pasa Omerasevic, it involves a shaker. Behind its smart moniker and flashy blue façade, Bluebird is a nod to American 1950s design – floor-to-ceiling wood, multi-coloured lighting and a giant aquarium, all suffused with orange light. There’s no getting away from it – this is uber-sensual. It’s like living everyone’s dream of starring in Mad Men. Bar one detail – Bluebird is more gin than whisky.
